Perinatal & Postnatal Therapy in London | Support for New Parents, Birth Trauma & Postnatal Mental Health
Becoming a parent changes everything — your identity, your relationships, your sense of self, and often your mental health. It can be wonderful and completely undoing, sometimes in the same moment. Whether you're in the thick of postnatal depression, quietly struggling with anxiety or rage you didn't expect, processing a difficult or traumatic birth, or simply feeling like you've lost yourself in the relentlessness of early parenthood and you don't have to carry it alone.
I offer specialist perinatal and postnatal therapy for new parents navigating the emotional realities of this season. I work with all family structures, including LGBTQ+ parents, single parents, and those who have come to parenthood via IVF, donor conception, surrogacy or adoption.

What we can work on:
-
Postnatal depression and postnatal anxiety
-
Birth trauma and PTSD following a difficult birth
-
The identity shift of new parenthood — known as matrescence
-
Postnatal rage and feelings that feel frightening or shameful
-
Relationship strain and communication difficulties with a partner
-
Overwhelm, exhaustion and burnout in early parenthood
-
Grief for the person you were before, or the birth or baby you expected
-
Support for LGBTQ+ parents, single parents and non-traditional family structures
How therapy helps:
Perinatal and postnatal therapy offers a space where you can say the things that feel unspeakable, the thoughts you're ashamed of, the grief you weren't expecting, the anger that has nowhere to go. Together, we'll make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, explore how your history and relationships are shaping your experience of parenthood, and build practical tools you can use in daily life. Many of my clients find that naming what they're going through — and being met with understanding rather than reassurance and is itself the beginning of feeling better.
My approach: Relational, person‑centred, psychodynamic and mindfulness.
Session format: Weekly 50-minute sessions in‑person in Notting Hill, London or online across the UK.
You give so much. You deserve support too. Get in touch to ask a question or find out whether therapy with me might be right for you.
